When it comes to upgrading your home’s exterior, few investments make as dramatic an impact as your roof. In a region like St. Louis, where our homes face everything from scorching midsummer humidity and heavy ice storms to severe spring hail, finding a roof that balances high-end architectural beauty with relentless durability is no easy task.
Enter DaVinci Roofscapes—the industry standard in composite slate and cedar shake roofing.
Whether you’re restoring a historic home in Kirkwood, upgrading a custom property in Ladue, or building fresh in Chesterfield, DaVinci gives you the hand-crafted look of natural stone or cedar without any of the traditional maintenance headaches. And when it comes to bringing this world-class roofing system to your home, our team is proud to be the #1 DaVinci Roofscapes installer in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Here is why St. Louis homeowners are choosing DaVinci Roofscapes—and why partnering with certified local experts makes all the difference.
Why DaVinci Roofscapes is Built for St. Louis Weather
Natural slate is heavy and expensive to maintain; real wood cedar shake is a serious fire hazard and rots quickly in Midwest humidity. DaVinci composite tiles are engineered specifically to solve these problems while delivering unmatched aesthetic appeal.
1. Superior Hail & Impact Protection (Class 4 Rating)
Midwest storms bring hail that can destroy traditional asphalt shingles in minutes. DaVinci tiles achieve a Class 4 Impact Resistance rating (UL 2218)—the highest rating available in the industry. They withstand ice, falling branches, and impact from hail up to 2 inches without cracking, chipping, or splitting.
2. High-Wind Resistance
St. Louis severe weather frequently brings damaging straight-line winds. DaVinci roofs are wind-certified up to 110 mph, keeping your home secure through the worst storm seasons.
3. Highest Fire Safety (Class A Fire Rating)
Unlike real wood shakes, which pose a severe fire hazard, DaVinci Synthetic Shake features built-in flame retardants to achieve a Class A Fire Rating (UL 790). You get the authentic look of split wood without risking your family’s safety.
4. No Rot, Mold, or Fading
Made from 100% pure virgin poly-resins and treated with state-of-the-art UV and thermal stabilizers, DaVinci tiles will not absorb water. That means zero rotting, moss growth, curling, or freeze-thaw cracking during Missouri winter cycles.
5. Authentic Natural Beauty Without the Structural Weight
Real slate can weigh up to 1,000 lbs per square, often requiring expensive structural reinforcement before installation. DaVinci composite slate delivers the exact visual depth of natural quarried stone at less than half the weight—installing easily on standard residential roof framing.
The Insurance Advantage
Did you know a DaVinci roof can actually pay you back over time? Because of its Class 4 impact rating and Class A fire rating, many major home insurance carriers in Missouri offer substantial annual discounts on homeowner premiums.
When we install your DaVinci roof, our team provides all the official manufacturer certification paperwork you need to file directly with your insurance provider to unlock those savings.
